Tattoo Artists: The Picasso Or Pollack Of Our Generation?

Just a quote from someone I know. I thought anyone inked might appreciate it.

"I believe that tattoo's are art. More than that though I feel confident that tattoo's are the most profound and personal art form in human history. Tattoo artists should get the same respect as the worlds greatest painters and sculptures. Maybe Sailor Jerry is our generations Picasso or Jackson Pollack? Might sound crazy... but you can love Picasso or Pollack. You can buy every print of their paintings you can afford. In the end though you don't commit to their art, it isn't part of you. You don't live with it in your skin "till death do us part." You don't use a painting to express yourself and make a statement when you are nearly naked at the beach or in your bedroom. Try to show me another artist that can claim to have that kind of relationship with their medium. Bottom line is: Putting ink into someone's skin is painting a living breathing human. That takes guts. That's art."
